K2 are proud sponsors of the University of Canberra Brumbies as well as ACT Veterans Rugby. In May, Dom Mammoliti of iCognition, one of our partners in the EDRMS space, sent our CEO an email asking if K2 would be interested in supporting Deaf Rugby Australia as well. Two days later, she ran into Georgina Carberry, our graphic designer and owner of StudioSpice&Co., who happened to be in the process of deciding which organisation they could donate their corporate box to for the final Brumbies game against the Blues. Serendipity! K2 agreed to sponsor the catering in the box, and StudioSpice&Co. donated 15 tickets for Deaf Rugby Australia to sell.

Dom then asked his brother, CEO Joe Mammoliti, if iCognition wanted to purchase some of the tickets, and they generously bought all 15! At the game, Deaf Rugby Australia auctioned off an official jersey with all of the signatures of the 2012 Brumbies (which was won by our CEO), and we managed to raise over $5000. Rugby Great Joe Roff and current Brumbies player Christian Lealiifano joined us in the box, to the delight of everyone attending.

Deaf Rugby Australia is a non profit organisation and is run by volunteers. They are committed to providing assistance to deaf individuals in the Community, including juniors who want to take their passion for Rugby Union further. Deaf Rugby Australia recently announced that the patron for Deaf Rugby Australia is the Hon. John Howard, former Prime Minister of Australia. For more information about Deaf Rugby Australia, please contact Richard Coulthard, Sponsorship Manager.

MS Office 2010/Windows 7 Available Now

Microsoft Office eLearning

K2 has a complete suite of eLearning Materials which are designed to help an organisation achieve a smooth transition to Microsoft Office 2010 and Windows 7. These materials can be customised to include local ways of working, such as where templates are stored, and to instruct users in policies around the use of colour and special fonts in internal or public-facing documents.

Users are able to access short, modular lessons at the point of need, rather than attending training that is not relevant to their role. A number of our clients have successfully used this method to enable their users to become familiar with the new look and feel of Windows 7 and Office 2010 before go-live with minimal impact on the Service Desk. Contact us if you would like to receive our Course Catalogue or to arrange a demonstration.
